Chief Commercial Officer

About the Position

This role can be remote or based out of our Philadelphia, PA headquarters.  For remote employees, regular travel to Philadelphia will be required. As such, we strongly prefer candidates located on the East Coast or near a major travel hub.

As we prepare for commercialization, we are seeking a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) with biotech launch and commercialization experience to join our Executive Team and lead our global commercial strategy and execution.

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in shaping the commercial future of our company. By developing a deep understanding of all external and internal perspectives, the CCO will propose, gain alignment for, and lead execution of, a patient and physician centric commercial strategy for rese-cel and subsequent pipeline products.

Responsibilities Include

  • Commercial Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of all external and internal perspectives to inform a recommended commercial strategy including pre-launch, launch and commercialization plans to maximize the value of rese-cel. Develop and gain consensus for pre-launch, launch and commercialization plans with recommended resource allocation. Collaborate closely with New Product Planning team to ensure product development plans and label are consistent with and supportive of commercial strategy.
  • Commercial execution: Build a high-performing customer-focused commercial organization including US sales, customer marketing, market access and pricing, patient and provider services, commercial operations, digital and omnichannel operations and leadership of ex-US commercial organization, ensuring alignment throughout.  Partner closely with CMO on medical affairs efforts and CTO on supply chain logistics. Ensure Cabaletta values are embedded throughout the organization and all operations are compliant.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of commercial experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record in cell therapy or oncology. Previous experience in launch / commercialization of CAR-T therapies and autoimmune diseases is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, team-building and collaboration skills with experience leading cross-functional teams. Ability to cultivate a team-oriented culture in a supportive fast-growth and learning environment, leveraging the nationally recognized Cabaletta culture.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions based on data and perspectives from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
